RE-CONNECT

These FREE gentle movement classes are for older people aged 65 years+ on Mondays and Thursdays from 10.30am - 12.15pm.
These supportive community classes are designed for people who may have Dementia, Parkinson’s or restricted movement. The activities will be led by a professional dance artist, supported by volunteers and movements can be done seated, standing or a combination of both!
Mondays are a creative movement class, including a warm up, creative tasks in pairs or small groups and simple dance sequences. Thursdays is a 'request class', where the participants choose their preferred dance style. So far we've done Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Salsa, African and South Asian dance!
Free refreshments and social time is also provided, as we encourage people to make new friends.
