There are lots of super helpful ways that you can get involved and support the great work that we are doing.
Volunteer at our classes
What classes?
We are looking for volunteers (over 18 years old) to support our weekly dance projects for older people, called
‘Re-Connect’ and for 'Beautiful Beginnings' for adults/guardians and their child with a disability under 5yrs.

Volunteers can support
‘Re-Connect’ on either a Monday or Thursday from 9.45am - 12.30pm. 'Beautiful Beginnings is on Tuesdays from 9am - 12pm.
How can you support?
​- Helping people complete consent/evaluation forms or completing the comments book.
​
- Setting up and clearing away for the class e.g. setting out chairs, tables and washing up.
​
- Offering teas/coffees/biscuits at the beginning of the class.
​
- Chatting to the participants to make sure they feel comfortable and at ease.
​
- Offering an arm for people to link onto for additional support when walking or standing.
​
- Join in the workshop and encourage the participants to engage with the class.
Training & Location
Training will be provided to volunteers so they can confidently support participant’s engagement in the activities.
The class will be held at DN Dance studios at 9B South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh EH12 9EB.
Donations
We rely on donations to help us run these classes for free to the local community. Other than your time, of particular use is donations of catering equipment, access equipment, food, and of course money.
